During trips I always study maps and other sources intensely as I want to understand how the region is built up, how people started living there and in what way localities developed. At the end of such a visit I have quite a clear mental picture of a region which I would like to share in the hope it can be useful to others.
It is quite easy to overlook some of the things that I marked on the maps. The “data browser” (layer icon on the left) can show all elements in the map, so you can check on the ones you might have missed.
